another newbie Empty another newbie

hey im new to this forum my name is Landon. ive been reading this forum for awhile now and decided to join i got a 95 surf with some lift on 33's would love to hit some trails up soon just dont know where anything is.

im also looking at buying a 92 jimny with a 11 inch lift on 35's.
any comments on if the jimny is to much for out here?

Welcome to the site landon!

That Jimny sounds like a massive truck. For mud that jimny sounds like it would be bad a**, but for practical trail riding out here, it sounds pretty top heavy. It would definitely get squirlly on a lot of the trails out here.

thanks man im picking the jimny up for about 2,000 but that wont be till october.

so i have plenty of time to enjoy my surf some more.
do you know how to get to the dustbowl?

yeah, good luck getting to the back part though. you need a winch, a couple trucks, and/or a rig that is set up to go offroad i.e. lockers, tires, winch, etc..

But go north on 58, once you pass route 6, take your first right. take a left (the only one you can I believe) on the dirt road. There will be huge signs saying "no offroad". Follow that all the way to the back (by the creek). there will be a blocked off part to your right, this is the main entrance. there is a second entrance on the right just after this one. There are blocks, but they're moved. then just follow the trail.
