Hey everyone
Hey, just getting into off roading out here on okitraz. I'm a country boy from Michigan do I have spent my fair share of time in the mud, but I have also never owned a foreign car so I know almost nothing about my 94 Surf TD. It is mostly stock, small lift on 32s, took it out to onna today where it handled great, but the ruts were a little too deep when we tried spider alley. Pulled my buddy's jimny out like a champ though. I'm looking to start fixing her up a bit more, but I don't know where to shop on this rock, or what I should go after for my TOYota, so any help would be great.
Thanks,
Zach

Re: Hey everyone
Welcome to the site man!
There's a lot of good wheeling on this island, most of it being up north though. Spider Alley isn't bad, but the main reason of it's popularity is it's so close to base. We'll have to go up north to the golf course one day.
Dependant on what you want should decide where you buy stuff. Anything that can be shared with 4runners, you should order from the states. that being suspension, axle parts, interior, exterior, etc. Anything that is strickly surf, the best bet is getting it out of a junk yard or shops, whether it be on base or off base. Neither one of them courtesy spit when it comes to prices. and Green Gorilla on this site can order tires from mainland for competitive prices and have them here in a week - two weeks. Either PM him or I can get in touch with him for you.
